Weehoo iGo Bicycle Pedal Trailer Description
Get off the couch and spend some quality time with your child outdoors. The Weehoo i-Go puts a new spin on the classic concept of a bicycle trailer with this one-of-a-kind pedal trailer. Kids no longer have to be cooped up inside a trailer while attached to the rear of your bike. With the i-Go, your little one enjoys the fresh air of the great outdoors, while pedaling independently. Active parents may enjoy the convenience of having an extra Weehoo Hitch, sold separately, when switching between using the i-Go with different bikes.
Standout Features:
- Parents ride longer and effortlessly while kids contribute to the pedaling
- Quick-adjust seat accommodates kids 38″-52″ tall
- Children enjoy hands-free riding for hours
- Adjustable 3-point harness with chest buckle keeps little ones safe and secure
- Removable push bar easily detaches for travel and storage
- Storage pockets in seat and over rear wheel
Benefits for You: Never has bike riding with your children been so effortless and fun! The weld-free hitch of the Weehoo i-Go attaches to the back of your bicycle so your little one can ride along and learn the joy of biking. An extra hitch is available for purchase to make installing the i-Go with different bicycles effortless. Unlike a bicycle trailer this pedal trailer allows your child to be involved with the bike riding experience with their own set of pedals.
The i-Go’s balanced design includes a low and narrow passenger seat to ensure a smooth and steady ride. The overall capacity of this pedal trailer is 75 lbs, which includes the weight of both the passenger and the cargo.
Make a day of it and bring along some snacks for the ride. Capture the memories with a camera, which can be stored along with your food and drinks in either the seat pockets or pannier pockets over the rear wheel. The removable push bar easily detaches from your bicycle for travel and storage.
Installation: Assembly of the Weehoo i-Go is required. Once assembled, the i-Go easily attaches to, and detaches from, your bicycle for travel and storage. The weld-free steel hitch connects the pedal trailer to the bicycle seat post for secure handling. Keep a hitch installed to both mom and dad’s bicycles with an extra Weehoo Hitch, sold separately. Your playful passenger will pedal with ease with the quick-adjust seat that accommodates children 38″-52″ tall.
Compatibility: The Weehoo i-Go works with standard bicycles with seat post diameters of: 25.4, 26.8, 27.2, 30.9 and 31.6.
Benefits for Baby: The Weehoo i-Go allows children to actually be a part of the biking experience with their own individual crank pedals. The easy-to-adjust, padded seat accommodates to the length of your little ones’ legs so he or she can enjoy pedaling hands-free during your outdoor adventure.
Keep little fingers grease-free and out of harm’s way with the enclosed sprocket and chain. The comfortable rubber handle grips also give children something to hold on to. Another added safety feature is the foot straps which keep those little feet attached to the pedals.
The high tensile steel frame and 20″ wheel lessen the amount of vibration to ensure a smooth ride for your precious passenger. The recommended height for i-Go passengers is 38″-52″, which on average, translates from about 4-9 years old.
Safety:
- Enclosed sprocket and chain
- Reflective fabric, reflectors and flag
- 3-point safety harness with chest buckle
Comparison: The Weehoo i-Go is the first pedal trailer on the market. Weehoo took the concept of a child bicycle trailer and made it a more interactive experience for parents and children.

Great product – Best Customer Service

We purchased this item for our 3-year old. He was not happy with the idea until the trailer arrived. Now,he absolutely loves riding in the i-Go trailer. We ride to school everyday and all his classmates and teachers gather around to look at this new bike setup still. It is very comfortable to for him and I have no problem pulling him. His pedaling actually contributes to going up hills. It is easy to load and unload him by myself. The panniers are well made, I only wish they were bigger. We had a problem with the trailer hitch not fitting my wife’s bike seat stem. I called the company and they went way out of their way to help resolve the matter quickly. Geoff the owner is an amazingly nice person that pledged he wanted to provide the best customer service and he did. Otherwise the assembly is quite simple. I recommend this to anyone considering it, you won’t be sorry.
Weehoo: Built for Riding

We tried the Weehoo on vacation, and fell in love. Our daughter used to ride along in a loaded Burley chariot. Then, she got behind the pedals of a Weehoo…. NO MORE riding, when she can sit up and pedal! The team @ Weehoo clearly put their energy into design and functionality. If your little rider wants to pedal, great! If they get tired, the special gear design allows them to rest and you keep going. The seat is comfortable, and the design makes towing a breeze. No more worry about gauging distance between obstacles. If you fit, the Weehoo follows right behind. We use the saddle bags for snacks, water…even towels and bathing suits! The Weehoo was clearly designed for mobility and family fun. Assembly is quick and the customer service people are extremely helpful. Don’t pass up an opportunity to own one of these unique trailers! Enjoy and Ride Safe.

I bought this trailer when our 2 y.o. son outgrew his iBert seat. He was not yet old enough to trust on a regular tag-along, but too big (or nearly so) for any rear-mounted bike seat. The weehoo is a perfect fit for him. We use it daily to take older brother to school, and it is easy to load and unload (so much so that I will get him out if we’re just waiting a few minutes). The trailer is long and takes getting used to when turning corners, etc., but it never pulls the bike or makes me feel unstable when riding. My son can choose whether to pedal or not and seems very comfortable in the seat (he has fallen asleep in it, but the seat angle is a bit too upright to allow for easy snoozing). He does not complain about being uncomfortable and happily rides for extended periods. The enclosed chain casing is very nice and has withstood daily use (and at least one accidental standing on). As far as the size of the child goes, my son was the minimum recommended height of 38 in when we got the trailer. The seat in its farthest forward position was too short for him and I had to move it back. He fits comfortably in the seat and is by no means too small (and still has plenty of room left to grow). There is no danger that his feet will drag the ground even if not strapped in, as the angle is such that his feet have several inches of clearance as he sits (but he can still climb in on his own). This has been a perfect solution for us and I anticipate years of use.

Lets get past the initial price, which is higher than most trailers, to all the Pros of this product. Just spent a week in hilton head with two 8 year olds who can both ride, but can’t keep up and don’t have the stamina for long rides. I can’t decide who loves this more, me or the kids. If only this product had been around when my kids were younger. Kids are in a reclined position, buckled in. They can pedal, they can wave, lean back, drink water, take pictures, or even snooze if they want to. Loading and unloading the kid is cake if they are old enough to buckle themselves. Lower center of gravity makes this bike track and balance so much better than my older traditional kid trailer. Kids love the pouches and saddle bags, which we used for many grocery trips. The seat has a huge adjustment range, even my 12 year old fits (barely, but she is too heavy to ride) I removed the foot restraints because my kids are older, definitely keep them on for younger riders. Also I should note that my kids are close to the max recommended weight and I had no problems. Fantastic product I wish came out years ago!!
LOVE IT!!!

This is the best purchase we have ever made. My husband and I contemplated this purchase for several months due to the price, but once we got it we knew it was the best thing we ever bought our almost 4 year old. This is such a great product that allows you and your child to experience biking together without them just sitting stagnant (unless they want a break from peddling). We just did an eight mile ride last night and she didn’t miss a beat. She loves it and asks everyday to go for a bike ride. We have been asked numerous times already about where we got it and we have only had it for a week. Easy to assembly and adjust. LOVE IT!!!

We bought this in May for our 3-year-old son. He absolutely loves it! It was super easy to assemble and mount on our bike, and the adjustments are very easy. My little guy can’t stop smiling when he’s on it. He’s just learning how to peddle it, but it rides very smoothly even if he doesn’t help. We live in a very rural area, but so far even riding in loose dirt/stone is not a problem. I would definitely recommend to everyone. The price is a little more than what I wanted to spend, but so far the quality of it and the fun we’ve had make it a very worthwhile purchase.

Just bought the WeeHoo… this morning, after stumbling across an ad on the internet while looking up info on trail-a-biles. I knew that we had to have it and I was right! My daughter is just shy of 4 years old and for some reason hasn’t been able to get the hang of pedaling her tricycle nor has she had much interest in her balance bike. We have a Chariot Carrier, which we love, but wanted to move up to something a little less passive for her. We bought a Trail-a-bike, but given her age and lack of interest in biking, I didn’t feel that it was yet a safe option for riding with us, and certainly not on longer rides. Anyway, we took the Weehoo for a couple of short rides today and after going down our alleyway and me helping her with the pedaling, she finally understood how to pedal and did so just about the entire rides! She had so much fun and didn’t want to get off the bike! She even asked when we were going to ride again. My husband came home and was surprised by my purcase (hadn’t run it by him) and shocked by what I paid. That said, after going on a short ride with us and seeing how much fun my daughter had, AND that she actually could finally pedal, he was glad that I bought it. Now we can go on longer rides with our daughter! On a side note.. the pedaling that my daughter was doing actually made a difference, especially when I stood and pedaled up hills. This has totally different feel than the Chariot / Burley style trailers… hardly any jerking\bucking. I noticed that just about everyone we passed, turned his\her head when they saw the trailer. I LOVE this thing!

We just got back from a week in Moab and the Weehoo was AMAZING! Our 4 year old couldn’t stop laughing on the single track ride. Now we know why you named it Weehoo. She fell asleep after a few of hours and never even slumped over. This is a great product, far superior to the trail-a-bike. We would have never been able to take her on single track with without the Weehoo. It gave us the freedom to go as long and where we wanted. I’ll be happy to send you pictures if yo want. Thanks again for a revolutionary product. It really made our vacation.

I saw a dad and son in a weehoo in my city. Having never seen one, I chased them down, when I caught up the kid was laughing and having such a good time. The dad let us have a quick turn on it. I ordered one the next day. They track like a dream, I have taken it on a few trails already. My children fight to go on rides with me. I hope to get a second one for my wife soon.

We love it! We also have a 7 yr old daughter with disabilities that has outgrown other bike trailers. She loves bike rides and always signs “more” after a ride, but she also falls asleep alot so we have been looking for something that would work for our situation. Then I saw this contraption on a local bike shops TV comerical and wondered if this was our solution. We read a review that Paul from CO had written and we were sold. THANK YOU! The next day we went for our first ride, 12 miles, and loved it. I thought it pulled well and I loved the storage. My daughter, Ella, will not be capable of riding solo anytime soon so the WeeHoo is perfect for us. My only concern is that my kick stand doesn’t support the whole combo very well. I am aware of it so it is not a problem, but if there was a kick stand attachment I would buy it. Thanks for the product!

Just got back from our first ride with the WeeHoo I-go. My son (2 ½) loved it. He has always loved being in the seat on the back of my bike but this was better. He got to peddle and was cheering himself on the whole time. (The help is nice on the hills too.) This morning we did 8 miles and he did not want to get out of the seat when we got home and asked to go again. There is a mesh pocket on the back of the seat which was perfect for my sons Camelback. I loved this feature because before when he was in his Topeka seat he would just reach forward and take the tube for mine when he needed water, with him that far back it would not have worked anymore. Now he is proud that he has a big boy bike and his own water. The bike was easy to assemble and very easy to take on and off. We are looking forward to years of use and longer rides.

I am just back from my first ride with the Wee Hoo! Our son is only 25 months old and he had a great time! We went for a 40 minutes ride and when we came back home, he asked “please, again!”. So I think this is a very good sign! We live in Canada so we ordered it from bicycletrailers.com and the package has been shipped to the nearest UPS store in the USA. We picked it up last week end and we are very enthusiastic! We are the first one in the city with a Wee Hoo. We went on a popular path by the river and all heads were turning! Of course, our son is too small to do a full pedal stroke, but he is pushing back and forth, pretending to spin his legs. The foot strap can be tight enough for his feet. We are expecting a very busy cycling season!

It all started with my wife and I deciding to pick up two used bikes to ride. Our next dilemma was our 4 year old and how we would enjoy going for rides. Sure, our 8 yo could ride, but now what? Enter the WEEHOO!!! WOW! This thing is awesome. I got the extra hitch in case my wife wants to pull it one of these days. My 4 yo pedals and pedals and really enjoys it. She didn’t want to get out of it and let our 8 yo try it. When she did, the 8 yo loved it just as much. Not flimsy, very sturdy for curbs, trails, whatever. My little one really feels safe. She could never imagine herself in one of those buggy trailers or the attachment with the handle bars and seat. She would last about a minute on that before wanting to get off. She rode for over 2 hours straight her first time out on the Weehoo. It has really turned us on to biking a lot more often. As for customer service…how about one of their knowledgeable business guys answering your call and offering to have their engineer call you for any in depth questions he couldn’t answer. BTW – he answered all of my questions just fine. We love it so much, we are planning on taking pictures of our kids riding the Weehoo to send in to the company.

We recently purchase this for my 7 year old daughter who has Down syndrome and is also autistic. The product is awesome, very comfortable for her and overall easy to get in and out of. She loves it. Our family is very active and we love the Colorado outdoors. We now have an activity that the entire family can enjoy together. It is well designed, safe and very solid, only criticism is it is a little heavy. Well worth the money. A must for active families with kids with physical limitations.
Cycling Vacation

My family just got back from our cycling vacation in Monterey California. It was an amazing three day two night trip. We rode an average of 40 miles a day. It is just breath taking scenery. I purchased the Weehoo with this trip in mind. My family rides this ride every year, it has become tradition. We used a Chariot for the past two years, but when I saw this I went hmmm. I loved the idea so I got one rushed to me. We took the b.o.b utility trailer and the Weehoo this time. We saw another family using a Weehoo on the same tour in California. The Weehoo lived up to the hype. I would even go as far as to say it made the vacation more enjoyable than the last two years. My wife ended up pulling the Weehoo and I pulled the utility trailer. My daughter required less stops this year but may be that’s because she is a year older. The pedaling kept her engaged and she really felt like she was a part of a team which was very cute. She would egg my wife on to go faster. This is a must if you do any long long with your children. I will be using this it a lot. We pull the Chariot everywhere but I have a sneaky feeling my daughter has moved on to the Weehoo now. I am very happy with my purchase.

I used an Adams Trail Bike but it is not practical for longer rides due to stability and comfort. Weehoo can be used for much longer rides than just around the block. So I took the plunge and bought one for Christmas. I have been so thrilled with my purchase I felt compelled to share. First off my son can ride his own bike very well. The Weehoo is not for me to ride with him it is for him to ride with me. Now my son can experiance riding with me on my kind of ride. Not just a pedal around the block. He loves the trails now. Every morning before I leave for work my son asks me if we can ride in the night when I get home. I think we have ridden four or five time a week since we got it. What I like: 1) I like the sitting down seat for comfortable long rides. 2)The pedals really get the bike moving. 3)The seat belt means they can fall asleep if they choice and no chance of falling off. 4)The chain guard is unique. I like it because it keeps my car clean and keeps the hands safe. 5)Weehoo has plenty of storage space. 6)It is clearly a well made product. Quality workmanship and a cleaver design. 7)Safety: I read that they beat astm test by 10 fold (not sure what test) 8)It is made from standard bike parts so I was able to put a knobby tire on and now its perfect for some off road trails. Things I don’t like: 1)Give me two hitches so I can have one for each bike. 2)Make it in different colors its only available in red. This is an exciting option for the parents that want to take their children on rides with them. I have been very impressed so far.

I have had the Weehoo for three weeks now and I have found myself riding more than ever. My son will not get out of the Weehoo he loves it so much (he calls it his rocket ship).
This past weekend I took the Weehoo on a twenty five mile ride with some of my friends from the office. I must say it handled great on the trail. We did some “off roading” that had my son enthusiastically yelling “WEEHOO”!!!!
I was surprised at how effective the pedals are, I can really feel him pedal. I like the fact that he is getting exercise as well. If you want your child to be a part of the ride this is an amazing product. It does not shake like my tag-a-long bike making it a much smoother ride. I have found the Weehoo to be easy, and fun to use.

My wife and I saw the Weehoo at Navy Pier in Chicago and we had to have one. We have been thrilled with the amount of riding we have been able to do, not to mention all the attention we get when riding:-) We wanted to use it on both our bikes so we purchased an extra hitch, it is quick and simple to change from bike to bike. I guess it was simple to change without the extra hitch but I am a sucker for accessories. There is ample storage and my wife even goes on grocery store runs with it, in fact she rides for most of her errands now… even taking Ella to pre-school. We have used a tag-a-long in the past and it just was always wobbling and hard to control. I was always concerned about safety. I love the seat and safety harness, it has a very solid feel to it. Ella is four and she loves to pedal, I was amazed that I can feel her pushing the bike forward instead of me pulling her. It is hard to get her off the Weehoo; she is always asking to go riding on the Weehoo. We are riding more than we ever have since we had kids. This is a fun product that will grow with the Ella and hey it’s freeing me up to do what I love. I wish this was around when my teenager was younger. If you want to ride with your children and keep them engaged on the ride, get this.
